fuckin assholes at the local tire shop in rural bumfuck pa(they call it a city) quotes me 40$ per tire to dismount mount and balance a new tire if i buy elsewhere. fuckin inbred assholes. fuck thema nd their one tooth family.

has anyone else run into this before. i know its a rip. i am comparing the price of tires bought at the store compared to ones from tire rack and having em mounted. its about the same price

Tell them to stuff it and that you will easily take your business elsewhere. Their loss.

Usually around $10-$15 per tire.

There are a bunch of tire places around... go somewhere else. My place charges about $12/tire. If you buy from them it's around $8/tire.

Wow that is kinda steep for a tire shop .I work for a dealer and I think we only get about a 100 mounted balanced good to go .We might even be less than that I'd have to ask but we are a dealer not a tire shop nor do we try to compete with those guys .Maybe we should????

Have you checked into the Tirerack's recommended installers? You can go to their site and look up the local recommended shops.

Good luck.
