Good idea they look exactly the same to me but I never checked the part numbers

WHO?? I done read this thread twice, and I don't see you tell who he is? I'd bite the shipping for a 2nd Gen CLS trans that I wouldn't just be WAITING on to bust. 'Specially 1K from home!!

i remember reading that the internals from the 3rd gen can be put into your tranny. Don't quote me though. I would try and talk to NVA-AV6...here or on another site
lol hes the one that told me he can do the swap and has done it multiple times.
I didn't say this explicitly when I replied in your original thread, but seeing that you're now resorting to digging up long-inactive ones in spite of my doing that, I will now. You're going to have to help yourself to some degree if you want to get the information you want for the swap, namely by reading and researching things carefully. That said, NVA-AV6 is a great hands-on contact for swap information.

All you have to swap is the entire cooler/warmer filter assembly on the top under the intake, the range switch, and the small third and fourth gear pressure switch harness. If you have a cl-p you will have to loop the power steering rack if you have a type s you don't have to worry about it.
