How do I remove the entire 3rd brake light housing/assembly?

 

i dont think it can be done through the trunk.

therefore u would need to remove seats then the back panel/dash piece (from the seats to the back window) which surrounds the 3rd brake light and then u should be able to remove the assembly. I was thinking of doing that too so i could throw a graphic there with a bunch of brands in it. but i've been lazy

 

I got my tints done today, and they tinted around it. So i'm going to spray it black so it blends in

 

I took mine off. You can unbolt it from the trunk. But you can only remove it if you pull the rear deck. The rear deck has a hole in it for the brake light, I cut it out & tinted. Here...
