33 miles per gallon!

Went to Los Angeles and back today. It kept the car between 65-70 most of the way. Drafted SUVs when I could and got 33 mpg!
A new all time best for my CL. This car still rox after 4 years.

Wow... that's fantastic... Is your CL fully stock?

The best I've been able to get was 30 MPG with the cruise control set at 70. I wasn't doing any drafting though. Also my car is a fully modded CLS 6sp (including a S/C).

Who would have ever thought that our cars with as much power as they have could get this kind of gas mileage.

awsome! I got about 30mpg on Hwy 395 from Lake Tahoe to Los Angeles. That is over 400 miles on my trip meter, without the low fuel light coming on. I have an auto with intake and headers and my girlfriend was driving. I don't think I could have achieved that kind of mileage because I have a heavy foot.

it was tough keeping it between 65-70. The car just cruises at 80.

Yea, she was cruising between 60-70mph. Hmmm...maybe she was doing some drafting while I was asleep.

I think you are getting at least 20-22 mpg, if you got 300-320 miles to a tank.

I used to make 19 mpg, with just 80+ mph driving on the highway.

I did change my driving habits due to traffic, and last week I posted 385 miles a tank. A record - Almost 26 mpg.

I guess driving around 65 mph did the trick

Just went up to RI this weekend (about 180 miles each way)... averaged 29 mpg cruising between 75-85 the whole way.....

Now if I could only get that kind of MPG Mon.-Fri. while commuting to and from work where I normally average between 22-24 driving about 75-80.

I wouldn't mind 24 mpg if I had your car

I've always heard that using cruise control would decrease your mileage?

in order to achieve such high mpg, do you drive with you A/C OFF? I usually keep mine off, but turn it on weekly to keep it in condition-
