30,000 Mile Scedualed Service

On Tuesday, I got my car back from the shop after the scheduled 30,000 mile tune-up. I had been having some shakiness in the steering wheel when braking, and at high speed (90 - 110). Also, the handling was slipping due to tire ware. I would consider myself an aggressive driver, so i probably have more than average ware/tear on my car.

They did some stuff to the brakes, tires, and electronic systems. Something about resetting everything in the computers back to factory.

I'm extremely pleased with the results. The car feels like new, only better, because its broken in a little.

If you go to get this service, ask them 2 things-

1, fix the sunroof thing. they put this padding in there and it took out the wabbling noise completely.

2, the back shelf. I was a little hesitant about asking them to service this since I have 2 JL Audio 10"s. I figured if i wanted that much bass, its my own problem if it rattles. Surprisingly enough, they said no problem, and they padded that too.

I paid the normal fee for the 30K, with no extra cost. The total was $375 + tax. That sucks, but its better than other cars i guess. Plus its an Acura, so I've had no significant problems that required service. =)

Ive got a Type-S with no mods.

Sometimes you get lucky w/ the dealers in terms of good service and willingness to do
what you ask. Yeah that back deck blows in my book! what a POS- Padded that baby the first week I had the car.
Usally the shake and shimmy is tire balance. However, if you get it real bad in hard braking, your rotors could be in question due to warpage.

Welp looks like the
dealer set up anyhow.

They didn't say, but I looked back there and it looked likt this grey packing material. It does the job nicely. They used it between the deck and the plastic under the back window.
