3 trannies in 3 weeks
yep...acura has replaced my tranny twice in the last month...but after several days i can feel the same problem coming back again...clutches are starting to slip..i guess sooner or later it will just begin to stall when i put it in gear..
acura seems to just want to keep replacing my transmissions...i dont really want another rebuilt one...or a new one for that matter...already tried both of those..i want a new car. what will acura think of this? what in the hell should i do!!??

That would be me that ended up a with a new 6 speed because I Lemon Law'd mine. My car sat at the dealer for six weeks waiting on a new tranny. Check out what is needed to Lemon Law the car in California. In Florida, it was very easy.

What I don't get is why some people have multiple tranny deaths and others are still on their first. Could the problem be related to something else on the car and if you lose one tranny you're going to keep losing them since the tranny itself isn't the root of the problem?
If they replace that 3rd tranny, you'd qualify. But check your state's specific lemon law.
What is a Lemon?
A vehicle that continues to have a defect that substantially impairs its use, value, or safety. Generally, if the car has been repaired 4 or more times for the same Defect within the Warranty Period and the Defect has not been fixed, the car qualifies as a Lemon.

jersey kept it simple...
3 repairs and you're out (or 20 days out of service). my folks are getting their 99 SL500 lemon-ed. fuel sender crapped out again and again and again. apparently benz has the same issue with window switches on the ML.

c'mon now....
3 of the same thing. not necesarily the same part failing but the same symptoms three times. "technically" our POS rattling moonroof should qualify all of our cars as lemons. i think the conern has to affect the operation of the vehicle
