3.5 Conversion

I called Rick Case Acura to find out a little bit more of the engine upgrade. But the people in the service dept. didn't know what I was talking about. Is this where I need to go to do the upgrade and does the 3.2 s/c work on the 3.5 upgrade?

Agreed... contact Dean.. they should be selling it soon. They'll have several versions, including one that will allow you to run the S/C with the 3.5L upgrade.

Rick Case Acura hasn't been selling those things for a long time... probably about a year and a half... so go through Dean to get the skinny....

Yep Rick Case no longer supports mods or the 3.5 conversion. The guy that did that is no longer there. Dean is the best source.

Dean is your best bet. When I called Rick Case a few months ago they also said they didn't know what I was talking about. But later they said the one car they had done that to, had and was still having many problems. Besides like they said the guy that did the upgrade work left anyways.

I bet the one for the non Type-S would fit, depending on the throttle body size. That would be niiice, with all wheel drive!

Where is this? Our dealership never charges a premium above MSRP. 04 MDXs are MSRP right now because of high demand and limited availability and we're generally the 2nd largest MDX dealership in the nation!

The 04s are pretty nice. dual exhaust tips, side curtain airbags, some minor interior trim changes, projector beam headlights, 5 more hp and tq. Of course I find the new taillights to be hideous but that's just me. =D

Nothing wrong with getting a good deal on an 03 though. I think our leftovers were selling for $1500-2000 off at the end. Actually I think we still have a silver/ebony 189 in stock (that's a loaded one, touring/navi/RES). Probably doing 2gs off on that one to move it.

Generally though, right up until the last week of September the 2003 MDX held MSRP at our dealership and its true market value on Edmunds showed that (TMV was MSRP for the 03 as late as a week ago, IIRC).

Can't wait to see how long the new TL stays at sticker and on a waiting list as it is right now.

Heck the TSX is still that way for us since even though we're a large Acura dealership we only get between 15-18 TSXs a month.

Having three sticker cars to sell definitely helps the floor sales team survive a weakening economy since they know they will get a decent commission on them.
