3.0 vs Integra LS

My friend has a 97 integra special edition, its got the ls engine in it, raced off a light, we were actually dead even in acceleration and i pulled on him after about 15-20ft

Shouldn't you have kicked his @ss? The LS engine has maybe 140hp? I think that the special editions were all automatics too so it isn't like he had the advantage of a manual. His car might be a bit lighter than yours but still...

Well, you did say that you pulled on him after 15-20 feet...maybe there is more to the story...like how far behind he was when you got up to X mph?

SE's dont all have auto's, they are optional. the b18b1(LS,SE,GS) engine has 140hp at the cranks which is weak compared to a tl

Hes a manual, yeah i was surprised he did pretty well, my tires spun like mad off the line because i was sitting on a shitload of sand and his winter tires had a little better grip

after about 40ft it turned back into a one lane road... so the race was over with by then
