3.0 vs. 98ish jetta

cruising last night at around 11 on lenora, and caught a light with this jetta. black guy in a 5 speed. he took me off the line, b/c the 3.0s suck off the line (auto ) anyways, i had two others in the car, and he was alone. i guess the stickers didnt make his car faster

oh yea, i guess i forgot to say. by the end of 1st, (40mph) i had about ha;f a length on him, by the end of second around 3 lengths. shut it down at 90 with about 4 lengths on him

Hehehe, those Jetta owners think their cars are hot, but they're really not. And the 3.0CL's aren't slow off the line, drop it at around 2/3K rpm and they'll haul ass.

power brake makes a big difference thats how i took the 300zx when me and agranado and couple of my friends were racing.

good kill i got a 3.0 and had no prob with my boys 4 banger jetta 5-speed.never raced a vr-6 i don't think i want to might get

he probaly had a 2.slow. could have been a 1.8T though

Power brake helps but our car off the line is teh cow. Low end torque sucks too. I have a 2.0 auto Jetta. Anyone wanna run.
