2nd Grader Needs HELP follow up Report
2nd Grader Needs HELP follow up Report
Greetings - - -
It was some months ago I appealed to my e-list friends for some help.
You may recall the story of my eight year old nephew who is a “car nut”, and had a second grade school project seeking postcards from all 50 states.
I reached out to my friends in Accident Reconstruction,
Impala SS,
Acura CL,
Yamaha V-max,
and
Kawasaki ZZR
e- lists and so many responded he topped out with the most cards from all around the Globe!
Here is a post from “Mom” to summarize and of course say thank you!

Hi Tony!
Today Austin brought home his postcards and letters that were sent to
school for his project!
Please pass this email on so I can thank everyone for helping us out!
Let me start by saying that everyone gets an A+ for kindness and
support! Austin received
39 postcards and letters from.......AROUND THE WORLD!!! (the most
received by one child!)
The class received postcards from 48 states, as well as, several
countries. The kids absolutely
loved getting all the mail. Austin went nuts when anyone mentioned
cars....yes, at 8 years old, he
already is a motorhead......he's done the quarter mile in a 55 belair in
12.5 seconds, (the driver said he took it easy
with a child in the car......) and he rides shotgun in his dad's 69 malibu.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped Austin out. Not only was
Austin's school project
a huge success...YOU helped to teach him that there are people who are
willing to do things for others,
who do not expect anything in return. Austin and I took a trip to the
store, bought a postcard, filled it out,
went to the post office, bought postage and mailed it. I explained to
him that for each postcard that he receives,
someone else has done the same thing. I think that helped him
understand and appreciate it a little bit more.
