I did a search and couldn't find an answer. I've worked on alot of imports. How does a cat back exhaust affect the cl's perfomance? I would say for a decent cat back would be about 5 bills. Is the performance worth it? Will I notice a difference?
How loud are they? I like the low tone of the stock exhaust. I am just researching mods and have non yet but I am just thinking of doing intake and exhaust.

 

Minimal gains with a catback. 2-3 whp is what I've read, with some people claiming a loss in tq.

 

^^What he said... Also it's mostly just for looks/sound. I would suggest just going with an axle-back if you're interested in something like this.

 

Looks & sound only. No real power increases unless your FI.
You want power get headers.

You can't get a catback anymore anyway. No one makes them. You can get mufflers.
Or custom something to work for a cat back.

 

A lil off topic but I always wondered if the piping diameter of cl-s and cl-p are the same...

 

Ok so I guess the exhaust is not worth it. So how do I polish the stock exhaust tips? They were either powder coated from the factory or they have road tar build up on them. I would like them to be nice and shiny.

 

the tips should be polished. the actual muffler is painted black though.
