well, i've had my baby for a year now, and i still haven't broken the 8,000 mile barrier yet!! and my service schedule has been totally f'ed up...it's so f'ed up, my service yesterday was the 2nd time i had a 7,500 mile service!! so here was the breakdown on what i had checked/done:

1. basic 7,500 mile service (oil/oil filter/washer)
2. NY state inspection
3. check parking brake for wear/replacement - outcome was no adjustments needed
4. sunroof rattles - outcome was Rallye Acura has none of the tape to fix the rattle, so nothing done
5. trunk makes a loud springing sound when closed - outcome was the jack was not tight enough in its compartment
6. rear deck still makes some rattling at low bass - outcome was "cannot duplicate"
7. steering wheel shudders when braking - outcome was front rotors machined - no new softer brake pads added

total cost: $49.01

so i feel somewhat satisfied with this service, altho the sunroof rattling will annoy me for another couple thousand...any chance we can fix it ourselves?? Wayne & Jens??

 

take that car back until the sunroof is fixed....there's a service bulletin out on it for pete's sake.

Rallye Acura service writer Mike does not like the Acura teflon tape. He says it does not stick to the sunroof frame. He used grease on the sunroof gasket against my protest. I am fed up with Mike and will not deal with him. Talk to Ken Grant the service director.

 

WOW! I've only had mine since 3/28/01 and I just broke 6,600 last night! I love this car. Think of ANY excuse to get in and drive! At this rate, I'll hit 15,000 before next March!
