I'm a big fan of how the 3G TL XLR8 exhaust sounds (I've only watched YouTube videos of it, but it sounds great to me). I know anything is possible with enough money but has anyone tried modifying the 3G TL exhaust to work on a 2G CL?

Maybe getting just the mufflers and having an exhaust shop weld all the piping to get them to fit?

 

Im in the same boat man. Looking for an exhaust upgrade to my now midd muffler delete.

Would love to have xlr8 one as you say. Does have a nice tone.

Magna flows in my mind sound terrible.

 

I have the Magna flow exhaust from an Accord on my CL and it sounds awesome man.

You can use what ever mufflers you want and it is considerably cheaper.

 

But they don't seem to sell for the CLs.

Also xlr8 mufflers aren't sold individually.

Ideally I think what OP and I are referring to is figuring out how different the TL cat back system is compared to the CLs.
For instance if I bought the xlr8 cat back for the TL how much variation is there compared to the CLs in order to get it to fit

I will say, from what I've heard, the XLR8 exhaust sounds "true" to my ears

Even though I do like the mid muffler delete on the CLs, it has a slight "tinny" sound.
I'm debating on upgrading the piping to 2.5" but with stock mufflers I don't the true benefit.
