292xxx miles and counting.. how much longer will it last?

So I bought a acura with 292xxx miles on it, And I'm wondering how much longer it will last for. guy said his older parents used it for just for highway miles and the tranny was replaced at 110k miles. How much longer do u think it'll last?

it will last FOREVER, granted you take care of it.
Cars DO NOT MAGICALLY DIE AT A CERTAIN MILEAGE.

if YOU TAKE CARE OF IT, it WILL LAST YOUR LIFETIME. but only if you take care of it. if you dont take care of it, it can die tomorrow.
p.s. 10+year old cars are NEEDY. they will need your FULL ATTENTION.

Only you can answer that question. Neglect it, not long. Respect and maintain it, forever. Or up here, until it rusts out.

To me,, nickel and diming beats a car payment. Mine's got 158k on it. Needs some things, but nothing major.

I'm with you on this one. Recently got rid of a car I had am 800/month car payment because I could no longer justify it (6k miles in 18 months). These cars last forever so long as you maintain them.

I've got a car payment on a car I never drive (three years and 4k miles) and a payment on a truck I use sometimes (but it's nice to have it). About 39 more months and both of those payments will be gone. The dailys are paid for, so if I have to spend a couple of hundred every few months I'm good with it. The Subie just needed front brakes (pads only luckily), and the Acura needs rear struts and the timing belt done (but I've had the parts for about a month).
