should i pick this up? dang, i already have 3 sets of oil and filter at home that i got for the same price.
but the oil isnt the extended performance kind. i wonder how good the regular mobil 1 synthetic is and how of the high mileage is synthetic as well.

there's a active rebate for that? i saw one that ended may 31st though.

a little note, the high mileage formula is only GF-3 approved while the regular stuff is GF-4 approved. although both say fully synthetic on the bottle. i wonder how long i could run the high mileage stuff? i think i would run the regular stuff 8-10k.

ppl have gone to 15k with regular and high mileage. it all depends on the driving conditions and the driver. i use mobil one full synt. and mobil one filter and change my oil every 5k my cars.

is it safe to use 0w20 synt. for the summer? ive been told that is its ok. but not to use it in the winter.

it should be the the other way around. I would not used 0W-20 in the summer. Only in the winter. I just use 5w-30 year round now.

I would jump on this deal also, but I've decided to go the Royal Purple route next oil change.

I have used all of the premium brands over the years and have come to the conclusion it makes no difference. I buy the cheapest of the big brands (RP, Amsoil, Mobil, Rotilla, etc)

Regardless a filter is needed and imho the Mobil is among the best, that is 12.00 right there so basically you are getting 5 quarts for 17.00.

I used to do the same thing, it was either Mobil 1 or Valvoline synthetic that was on sale. Advanced Auto used to sell the Valvoline buy one get one free. So I got 6 cases last year. I just used my last bit. Seems the price of the Royal P went down, so I give it aa go.

As far as the filter goes I just use the Puralator Pure One. I think it is the beat filter in the $6-$7 range.

on the pureone filter. It IS the best filter in that price range. people and opened it up and it compares to the mobil 1/K&N filter. same thing with the NAPA gold filter.

and how long do you go with the honda filters? you could probably go 15k on the mobil 1 filters but i wouldnt go over 7.5k with the honda ones.

Nice deal. I pay $19.99 for full oil change and inspection with Mobile 1 full synth at my dad's cousins shop or I'd be checking that deal out.

I went to AutoZone today and by the oil they had a label that said 5qts with filter for $34.99, then at the filters it was the correct $29.99. Haha, gotta love Auto Zone.
