Is 23K a good deal for this 03 CL-s ????
I'm looking to buy this vehicle but need to be assured this is a good deal.
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures which is why I'm going to look at it today.
2003 ACURA 3.2CL TYPE S WITH NAVI - $23000
SILVER Exterior / BLACK LEATHER leather, NAVIGATION SYSTEM WITH ONSTAR,
27000 MILES. EXCELLENT CONDITION AND FULLY LOADED. $23000 OBO
The car is in excellent condition. It still has the balance of the 50,000 mile warranty.
The transmission is covered by a 100,000 mile warranty.
The rear bumper was replaced by the Acura body shop from a very minor accident.
He is the second owner. The model is 3.2CL Type S, 260 horsepower.
He says he might be flexible on the price because he is looking to buy a house and doesn’t
need the extra payment.
Input is appreciated....

Not too bad, I'd bargain down tho. I'm cheap! act like you don't care about the Navi, sellers try to recoup the $2000 cost of it, but then again he's not the original owner. I got an 03 6 speed with Navi and 7500 miles for about $24k 5 months ago in OK. All depends on the local market and LA (Louisiana?) is probably not a hot market for coupes.
Are there many to choose from in your market? If not and you like this one I'd go for it.
As always I recommend test-driving a 6 speed if you can find one. otherwise not a bad deal, get the in-service date which also determines how much more warranty you have left from the 4 years.
good luck.

I prefer buying a one owner car or a car from a dealer that is certified with the extra year of full warranty. Are there many to choose from in your market? I live in Southern California and haven't seen that many CLs in decent condition with low mileage.... I'm also looking at this Honda Accord Ex with Navi, its hard to decide which one to go with...

Well if you like that color, want Navi and an automatic then get it. THe Accord is nice but I prefer the CL. I drove the Accord Coupe with 6 speed manual and liked it so much that I went and got the CLS 6 speed. Oh the Accord is a sedan, hmm just depends if you want a 2 or 4 door.

the CLS w/ navi is a little rare. the CLS 6-speed w/ navi even more so. if you WANT a CLS AND you WANT navi AND you WANT the silver AND the price seems reasonable to you, buy it.
but if you don't want the navi or you don't particularly want silver then pass.

Not a bad deal, but it's not great either. Depends on your market as said.

If I could get 23K for my 6spd, I'd be tempted to sell it...
In other words, I think the price is too high... If it was a certified car from an acura dealer, it would be a better deal.

You need to be at this number or under >>>>>> $21,509 fair retail price.
I hate to say it but $23000 is too much

Again check in-service date, this determines warranty as much or more as mileage.
Just offer what you want to. Miles are still a little high seems like for an 03. figure taxes will be another $1250 depending on your state rate, it is 6.25% here.
I'd see if he'll do a carfax and have him have the dealer run a history of repairs.

Yes always start at lower, because once you start high you can never go lower
Offer them $19,000, but have it in your head you won't go past 21,000 MAX
To give you an example last night i was helping a girlfriend purchase a car, because i knew that the dealers last day of the month for Augest sales was the 31st and they had only sold 50cars ( they usualy sell 80-90 cars per month) so they where desperate for the sale, i kept saying i'd be back the following day they did not like that and wanted to sell the car TODAY. I told them and looked them straight in the eye, and said this is all she has NO more money .. and she dont like any other car, manager comes out and does the usaual BS about what is it going to take to sell the car today etc...
To cut a long story short, the car was listed for $15,000 book value was $13000, bought the car for her for $11200 , even thought we had more money its all about calling for bluff and be serious about willing to walk away from the deal, there is always another day, and if they know your serious and real, they will play the game with you.

That's a lot for a '02 CLS. When did you buy yours? You could have gotten a 6 speed and put mods on it for that price.

I didn't want a 6 speed 1) because i always screw up or forget to shift and 2) it's a pain to drive in heavy traffic. If any of ya'll have ever been to atlanta, you know how much traffic we got around here and i'm sitting in it everyday going to work and school.
I got it last June about 3 months ago. It was certified by the dealer though. The reason why it was that much was because I got the extend 7 year 100k bumper to bumper warranty and had the dealer setup the lojack installation for 700 bucks.
Before that it was around 21500 for certified, navi, type s, 02 with 33k miles on it, something like that. i forget the exact bottom line. the good thing about the certified 120 point check was that i got 2 new tires out of it and i think a few other replacements, i forget that exactly what.
