235/45/17 Kumho's on stock rim...

I've looked through the old post and it seems as this size Kumho works with our 7 inch wide wheels. I'm not really clear whether anyone has had any problems with a 7 inch wheel. I just ordered some 17x7 wheels and they should be here in a couple of weeks. Am I okay with a 7 inch wheel and 235/45/17's.....any info would be appreciated....Brad

So far so good with the 235/45/17 Khumos on stock wheels. They look much better than the 225/45's since they have a bit more sidewall and take up more wheel well gap. These tires are not, however, as sticky as other high performance tires. They are very good in the rain, however.

I also am very interested in getting these Kuhmos. They are very inexpensive and the tread looks great! Does anyone else have any comments on these tires?

Many members on the BMW boards have praised kumho tires. good tread wear, handling wet and dry and they are quiet. however, i would get a 40 series tire. 45 may be too fat.

i was just itching to order them myself, BUT the only reservation i have, and it's a legitimate reservation, is how it handles in the snow...being from NY, there's always the good possibility of getting snow...rain i can handle, but snow is a different story...many times, we've discussed the Ecsta's as being a 3-season tire, however if people have used them in snow and found little difference from the stocks, THEN i'll buy them...so right now, i'm gonna wait till Spring and get feedback from more northern folk on the performance in the white stuff.

$100 a tire can't b beat, esp. when u get a GREAT performance tire that handles well in both wet and dry conditions...tread is bad-ass too.

And 245/255 isn't going to fit on his rims.
