225/45ZR17 Bridgestone SO3 - Good?

Stock Mich no good (of course) and still deciding which tire I should get.

Anybody using 225? The reason that I don't want to use 235 becayse our rim is only 7" and the tire will look donut if we put 235.

Sears quote me $175 per tire + mounting + valve. Good deal??
Or Sumi HTR+ for $120 per tire ++.

Please comment.

www.tirerack.com bring sears the quote sometimes they will match it... work the mounting and balance for free and you can save more... I have the RE730's with 25k miles on them no problems..

I think they look good too! No "donut" appearance. Just avoid the metal shrapnel on the road.

235's will fit no problem, I've got them. They look good also. But watch out for these tires. After about 10,000 miles, they started acting really funny. They got louder, and they are very unpredictable. They will track any rutt or go crazy on any bump. It jerks the steering wheel out of my hand a lot. One the good side of things, before this started happening, they were awesome tires. Handled great, quiet, gripped really good etc... But just watch out if you decide to get them.
