nicky...adam may or may not agree with this...but he was the one that brought to my attention the chip gains from APR site..

the A4 gains with only 1 chip, will make its 0-60 just as fast, or probably faster than a CL-S

people on audiworld get mid to high 14's with only chip and exhuast...

a chip =600 bucks

 

As for me, I am sure that this is my last Honda/Acura...

Next will either be the MB SUV, Volvo S70 or the Audi

ah yes ... was fortunate enough to own a European spec Audi Coupe Quattro while living in England back in the late 80's (only available as the 'GT' in U.S. trim) and throughly enjoyed that car. Couldn't bring myself to purchase the new model that was introduced here in '90, and got a Legend Coupe instead. Have been waiting for this model for the past couple of years, and am glad to see they have gone away from the 4-door version they had been talking about. If the final version isn't castrated like the new cabrio will be, this will definitely join my -S 6speed and replace my '98 M3. Hope Audi doesn't fuck it up!

sorry i don't think so, a4 is an 8.0 second car, and the 1.8t quattro is a heavy puppy that loses a lot of power at the wheels. To beat on a cls u would need a stage 2 upgrade (chip and exhaust) for that money u could buy headers and negate any gains by the a4. Moding an a4 to stage 3 is a different story, but then u can kiss ur wty and bank account bye bye. A4s are nice cars, really look good and have really nice interiors.They are not peformers(unless u go s4 or rs6) and for that matter neither are cls(if they were only rwd).

i should mention that i'm only refering to the 1.8 turbo, the 3.0l performs better but at that price u could get a 330ci or fully loaded g35. if the a4 came with 225-50 hp i would've bought her no questions asked(voiding the wty was a big factor in my choosing of a cl)
