Would they fit in the corners where the plastic inserts are. They are small enough. Seems like a little creative plastic surgery and they would. I will be checking mine this weekend.

Where did the factory switch install on the earlier models anyhow??

Thanks for the compliments, I just really hated the fake fogs the 2002 came with. So I was going to put on the PIAA with the factory road lamps and it looked to too many lights. This way it almost goes by undetected except when light up and they really stand out. These are the PIAA 1400 the smallest high performance foglight in the world....and I'm telling you these reallly are high performance.

Why didn't you put them where the '01/'02 have their foglights?

I think they would have looked good there.

Looked at every possible angle and every different possible foglight. These fogs are the smallest and the best for their size, just couldn't fit em where the 01/02 because the plastic cover wasn't shaped accordingly.

Scrib you are going to laugh at this, at first I was looking everywhere and couldn't find a preexisting hole in the firewall. So I took my car to Speedworld and asked them to drill a hole in the firewall thats all and Ill do the wiring. Well they said $30 and a hour wait, the money wasn't the problem but time definetly. I decided to go with the wireless remote which ran me $80 which wasn't bad compared to the $30 for a hole. I installed the remote and was happy with it untill this weekend that the CL forum was down and I happen to visit the TL forum. There the question was asked about the hole in the firewall and to my surprise there is a hole there alreaady big enough to fit a 0 gauge wire. Located under the dash about 10 inches to the right of the steering column, you will see a cut out already there size of a silver dollar, all you have to do is remove the cut out and poke out the grommet with your finger.

Hmmm... Well, If you get really bored and you want to write up a more detailed description of how the hell you did everything, fro start to finish, I won't try to stop you.

Or, if you're looking for something to do and want to take a road trip to Chicago and help me with something like this, let me know.

I'm not taking anything from Speedworld they can build some killer and I mean fawking awesome sound systems but I don't think they do tints. Most likely they are going to call in somebody to do for them, how much are they charging and do they use Llumar. The guy that Im talking about is the guy who does it and Im telling you Ive seen his work perfect down to the corners. unfortunately I didnt know about this guy untill later so I went to Northern Audio radio which ruined the back window and had to be done again. Let me know how much they are charging you and what type of tint they use see how it compares to $175 which he quoted me for mine.

Scrib its not that difficult now that Ive done it and know what to do, but when I did it I went step by step. Since I work nights and sleep days usually I worked in the darkness of my garage and with spotlights. I enjoy doing things like this and I get a great satisfaction from the finish product.

Anyway see if you want to invest $200 in this project and about 3 hours time possibly less if you know what to do. You do have to cut into the bumper so thats another thing and you have to be able to put one screw through your bumper. If you are still interested let me know and Ill make it as easy as possible down to running the wires.

Lou,

175 sounds about right...besides I'm willing to pay for quality, especially cause this is something that only has to be done once...

Let me know...Thanks

BTW that hole in the firewall is a God send ...

The plastic "cover" is actually an insert. You could unscrew them, take 'em out and cut them to fit the fog lights perfectly.

That would've been a nice custom job.

If I had an '03, that's what I would have tried to do.

But whatever, they still look good where you put them.

Hey Lou -

Can you tie in the PIAA switch to the road lamp switch, instead of having a seperate switch for them? Since you removed the road lamps totally, I thought this may be possible?

The road lamps didnt have a seperate switch they turned on with the headlights. I was thinking of putting in the TL switch which goes next to the VSA control and using it with the PIAA

Lou,

That's what I meant...... If you custom cut the covers (inserts) to fit the foglights, that could look excellent.

Just an idea.
