It sounds too good to be true. How can this be possible:

2003 CL with 3700 miles selling for $8500????

In case the link does not work, it is on Yahoo Auto.

I agree, at first I was going to say that's they forgot to put a 1 in front of the 8500, which would make sense at 18,500$.

I really wouldn't be surprised if the title is rebuilt on that car, and the non-03 rims is definitely a concern-raiser.

Hmm, Looks exactly like a SMR 6 speed I found while on my quest to find one. I emailed then seller who sounded very shady. That looks like the exact picture I saw too (had 01-02 wheels) and I believe the same price (was one of those too good to be true looking prices).

here is my thread about the email the guy sent to me.

Typical scammer, using a 3rd party service to screw you out of your money - now it's all clear.

They should prosecute those fucks to the highest extent, and let them get ass reamed by convicted rapists and serial killers behind bars. Sorry for the vent, but like most of you here (if not all), I work damn hard for my money and despize people that choose a life of crime to put bread on their table, and more. There always is a better way.

Indeed He Wanted Me to Use Escrow

Thanks for your input. It is definitely an escrow scam. This is the e-mail I received from the seller (notice these crooks all like to use Dr. so and so to impress you)

Hi,
I've just started the transaction with escrow co. Please go to http://www.etradingsafe.com and register for an account.

All you have to do after is to log into your account, agree with it and see the payment information.

After that go to a Western Union agent in your town and ask for a sending money form. Fill it in using the payment information you have from etradingsafe.com (the receiver information), and you will receive the MTCN which you have to enter into your escrow account.
After the payment is completed and escrow has validated it, I ship you the car (all you have to do is give me your full name and address where you want to receive it). After that you'll have up to 30 days to inspect it.
I also have one more favor to ask of you.
When you are sending the money, please tell the agent that it is going to a friend so that I can dodge excess taxes.
Thank you, and it's been a pleasure!
Dr. XXXXXXXXXX
