2003 Cl

After months of searching for a 2002 CL Type S, As of Sunday, March 17, 2002, I am now a proud and happy owner of a 2003 CL Type S blk/blk with navi 5spd. Now I have a few questions. First off, what is the recommended break in procedure. The book tells me to break the car in 600 miles before any serious driving, my friends tell me to go to atleast 1000 and go no faster than 60mph. Can I go faster than 60mph during the break-in period? I know I should stay away from WOT and everything, but what about gradual speed build up past 60? Another questions is if anyone has any pics of their car with before and after shots of comptech springs. I am extremely interested in dropping my car and want to see how low I would get so I can determine if they will go good with the Racing Heart C5 3piece. Well hope to hear from you soon!

Well first of all, it's 6spd, not 5! Second, you can go faster than 60mph, just dont go crazy with the throttle, so it will create extreme pressure in you engine bay... thats mean dont race the car.... Its more important to keep the rpm below 3500rpm instead of 60mph!

limit

yup, agreed on the advice...same i have reciebed many times...keep it under 70 and 4k rpms, but i was under the impression this does not have to be for the first 1000 but more of 500 miles...depends on type of traffic too. Just treat your baby nice for a lil while to tease her than SCREW her har dlike you know she wants it, both of you will get off!

Welcome to another Northern Cal. member ! Keep it below 4000-4500 rpms for 600-750 miles. Comptech springs give a good drop without much tradeoff in ride quality. Good luck and join us in Sacramento some time at one of our meets.

Thank you everyone....thank you Red Rider...I would love to join all the other CL owners in Sac! A chance to meet with other enthusiast is a perfect opportunity to see what other people have chosen to do to their rides. I am still curious if anyone has installed Racing Heart C5s on their CL?
