2003 Accord Coupe & Maxima

Hey, my very first post after many months of "lurking"- how exciting. Anyhow, I found these pictures on edmunds.com. I think the Accord looks nice and as for the Maxima... well, what can I say about the beloved Maxima... Nissan hasn't failed to disappoint us again, have they?

"Roomier and more powerfull, the 2003 Accord Coupe"

Maxima looks like a Passat, and the accord is reminiscient of the Honda Prelude. Regarding honda, I was just thinking this last night, the current Honda Accord has not been redesigned since 98 model year, its about time, so I thought they would surprise everyone with a 2002, but I guess according to this, 2003.

I like the look of the of the Maxima. Has European appearance. The Accord coupe has the hood line of a Prelude and a side look of the old Suburu sport coupe (X?). Wonder what the sedan will look like.

The Accord pic is really good CG. However, they did the same shit with the Odyssey too.....made it look like a SEMA Mini. I doubt if Edmunds can get it right anyhow. Thanks for the info though.

The Maxima look like an Audi too me.

I'll get back to ya on the 1 series.....

WELL WELCOME! Anywho, the new maxima looks like my ass! Oh wait i take that back, my ass is cute. So that looks like shit!! Its huge! Looks like a cheap version of the Q45.. which im guessing is the point. But the new accord is nice, but honda really needs to take a chance and do somthing crazy with style.

Welcome!

That BMW needs help.

And I thought the new Altima was the ugliest Japanese car ever made Nissan once again is heading towards the bottom (unless some people can actually stomach their new car designs). The new Z is their only hope...

That Accord is PIMP though! It looks like one of the pictures (that I saw a LONG time ago) of the prototype Integra/RSX. I like it!!! Good thing it looks nice, otherwise I wouldn't know what car to get after my lease is up. If it packs 240+ hp and ground effects kit, I'll buy it in a heartbeat

The Accord isn't looking too bad, it looks like a CL/Prelude mix. The other two are ugly.

The Accord looks like a Probe GT with Prelude lights. Why keep those lights--I always thought they were the ugliest part of the prelude.

Whats up with the Accord Saturn mix, whats the deal? Kinda plain jane as usual.
Infiniti convertible would be phat, remember the last one m30, that was nice. If anyone saw the "The three kings" movie, there is an argument about that car that is kinda funny between Marky Mark and Ice Cube.

Hmmmmm, the accord looks okay , but still not sporty enough , I think they need to differ it more from the sedan . Any idea on powerplant yet ??

As for the maxima , man they seem to keep getting worse. I sure hope they dont fuck it up this bad. but I am sure it will look a lot better in person

Haha, yeah Yesterday I saw an old school Infiniti convertible for the first time, it was in pretty good condition too. I almost crashed when I saw it, and I was thinking about that movie. GREAT movie BTW! Now I know that both Lexus AND Infiniti have convertibles Acura needs to make one, always dreamed about the Integra or CL being a convertible. That would be PIMP!

The "Maxima" pic is photoshopped. Its actually a rebadged OPEL. We already had this discussion on maxima.org so its not going to be that ugly..

The current Maxima is butt ugly IMO, that's why I didn't buy another one. I had a 98 and while I thought it was great, it had a lot of road noise. This new one is an improvement over the current one. The I30 is a better looking car than the current Maxima. I like the Accord and the bimmer is not bad but current ones are better.

Actually Honda did change the Accord a little for the 2001 model. It has a slightly different rear and front bumper. I don't know if they'll actually put out a 2002 model but I think the new model is supposed to be out middle of next year. It's supposed to have 240 horsepower the last time I heard. Also the reason the coupe looks a little like the Prelude is they are axing the Prelude and going to combine it a little with the Accord coupe and move it away from the Accord sedan even more than they did with the 98 remodel. I went ahead and got the 2001 Accord in December since I figured I'd wait and let them work out the kinks of the 2003 model.
