2002 CL Type S Trade In Value

Does anyone have an idea of the trade in value on a 2002 CL Type S (non-navi) with 18,500 miles? Would I be able to get much more for it if I tried selling it on my own? I've tried Kelly Blue Book but they say there is not enough information for the 2002's yet. I'm thinking of getting a TL b/c I need the extra space and I really want the Navi because I travel often.

If you tried to sell it on your own you'd probably get around $23k-$24k. That's my guess.... people will look at 18k miles on a 2002 and think that's very high b/c 98% of the people out there don't understand or know Acura's model release schedule. Plus... coupes usually sell for less then sedans.....

Thanks for the info......so basically if I'm going to trade it in I should expect anywhere from 21,000-23,000 and if sell it possibly 23,000-25,000. I bought it in October of 2001, not sure if that will make a difference or not.

juniorbean : are you also a modorator on the acura-tl.com site? I have been having problems posting on that site and can't figure out why. I'm registered as NoleCLS but it keeps telling me I'm not authorized to post?? Any ideas??

Yes, I mod there too... but not a Mega-Mod like here... so it may take longer to get an answer. Same username as here... right?

I'll PM you so we don't hijack this thread

anyone familiar with "CarMax"?? They usually give pretty fair prices for tradeins or even just straight purchases of used cars. I really don't want to get rid of my CLS but I need the extra space. I think the CL looks much better than the TL.

I was gonna jump on it, but I honestly didn't feel like getting the living shit kicked out of me by my wife. Very petite, very cute, but a real treat to deal with when she's pissed. And that would have gotten her pissed.

I'm sure I could still get the same amount. The car only has 4,000 miles on it.

The 330Ci is a badass car. I really just don't want my payments to jump 100 bucks. I'd rather save up for my '05 M3!
