I'm sure new colors are in the works. We already have memory seats. I don't forsee a manual tranny in the near future.

2003 Acura's are going to be an eye opener ! That includes the CL. New RL, V8 engine, NSX will share the same engine... Who will get the current NSX engine ????? Maybe the 2003 CL Type S ???? Can't wait !

hey guys ... can we fit the NSX engine on our Cl-S now ... and how about if we can take the 6 spd tranny from the NSX and put it on our car .. that will make the CL-S fly.
and if we can do it .. what is the cost for the engine and the tranny? and how much it will cost to install it?

honestly iam thinking about it if i can do it.

Why would you want the NSX engine. In manual form it is just 30 more HP and has less torque at a higher rev. So for day to day driving there is no advantage and may decrease street peformance. With headers and intake you would be putting out more power that is more usable.

Now the 6-Speed I could understand the desire. However, remember the NSX is a mid-engine layout. Yes, it could be done in the CL-S but expensive. My guess would be in the $10k - $15k range for a custom quality build.

Like these guys said, not much of a difference for the 2002 model. New colors, different door handles, and some other minor stuff. The nav isn't changing, probably no 6 speed for 2 or 3 years, and it's already got memory seats that can store 2 settings.

Yea, dont hold out for 2002.

The only color changes will be the addition of that Indy Blue color to the Type-S line-up. I believe it was tw1112 that took pictures of the 2002 color swatch from the LA Auto Show. So look for his post regarding that.

Apart from that, body colored door handles are the only other change accepted as a definate.

There may be the possibility of 18" wheels... but seeing how we havent seen a 18" wheel design from Acura for any of the AutoShows... I would say thats unlikely.

Save yourself at least 10 months and get the CL now. You wont see a 2002 model until the Fall.

You wanna have the CL in the summer to really enjoy it

And in the fall to enjoy is "touring" capabilities.
