look...i thought about not saying anything...but...let the flames start...it's slow...a red 01 M3 man was it sweet...some young kid driving it low to mid 20's...we're driving aggressivly down along 3 lane staright...about 75 or so...a van pulls out in front of me...so i use the right turn lane to swing around him.... and carry on like nothing had happened...we get to the light side by side...but niether had given any indication of the impending race...we leave aggressivly but not full on race launch( but i was close to full launch)....this is where i think if some one that knew how to drive his 56K dollar ride would have ended any thoughts of a race...but....well...he persued...and maybe he didnt wind it out the way you need to, in the M...have no idea of the car and the way it should be driven...but he made up alittle ground in first and second...but in third he was pulling hard, this is where i thought it was over for sure...but i was getting toward 100 MPH and back into the meat of my power band, and well...( idont race that high of speeds on the street) was done....we caught the next light...i yelled over..."i know if you were racing you would have tore me up..." he says "i have no idea how to race this thing ...but you had me fair and square...." he also yells i had slowed for you when the VAN pulled out in front..."i sad its cool ...i made the decision to go right by then""" seemed very cool...i have a feeling one must wind out the M3 to extract all its power and launch it hard....neither did he do...at least the launch...i was to far ahead to tell how deep he was taking the shifts....SSL

 

That's right. The 333HP comes at 7900 rpm if memory serves. So you got to go all the way to show the difference in the car.

 

so...i guess more proof that on the street ,anything can happen...

 

Yeah and what's the worst that could happen, you lose to an M3. It's worth a shot.
