This is one of those issues that doesn't seem to go away. As a percentage, the same percentage of Transmissions are probably failing on CLs that do on every Honda.
This is one of those coverage-induced issues. In FL, there was one shark bite that the media hyped up on. Now, every day it seems that there is a new victim. What they don't tell you is that the number of bite victims has stayed damn near the same - it's just a convenient subject due to people's interest to swim in the ocean in FL.
In other words, there haven't been that many people that have had failed transmissions. It's just the few that have failed have been pretty pissed - understandably so - about it.

In general, NO. There are a few members who have encountered problems here, but there is not a real pattern to the failures, nor are they widespread %-wise.
Standing on the brake whilst revving it up from the line is a sure way to make it sick.

I second that. I do drive fast however. Why else would I have purchased a car with 260HP stock?
