I have a CL with 167k miles. When I first turn on the car while the engine is warm, it sounds like the car wants to turn off and the oil light comes on. just yesterday I did an oil change with mobil 1 Full synthetic 5w-30, I did the sea foam through the vacuum although no white smoke came out through my exhaust and I changed my spark plugs which were NGK double platinum spaced at .044. The car has been rattling sometimes when it is in drive and i am stopped at a light. when i turn it off and turn it back on the car rattles and i get the red oil light showing for about 3 seconds then it stabilizes and idles normally. I have no idea with what I am dealing with, if anyone can help id appreciate it.

 

time for a new motor..... low oil pressure killed it

 

Did this happen after u did oil change and spark plugs? When did it start?

Is ur car leaking oil at all.. Did u check the oil level?

And what do u mean by rattling.. Cause rattling is usually describing something loose and clanging around.

Where is this noise coming from. U need u give every detail u can

 

What kind of oil filter are you using?

 

No it was happening before I did the oil change and spark plugs. It happened when I took my car up a mountain in California (Big Bear). Rattling like a big vibration on my steering wheel. My motor oil was good, level was good I changed it at a little under 3,000 miles. I have no leaks, no signs of metal in the oil of any kind. I've always used the Bosch oil filter on my car.
