1st new(er) car

I'm graduating from college this month and getting my commissioning into the Army too, as a gift (and a need) to myself I'm getting a new car. My Dad is an Acura salesman and kept insisting I wait for the '06 TSX, then I saw the changes and wasn't that impressed.
In my Mom's search for a new car, she found an '03 CL-S sp6 with only 20k miles on it. Crappy part though, it was at a honda lot not affiliated with my Dad's work.
With the promise that I am buying the car, my Dad's store was able to buy it from them and now I'm getting all the pre-owned certification done and putting on new Avon tires.
My rationalization came to this; "why not get a car with more power, handles better and gets the same mileage as a TSX."

yeah, i agree the TSX is not my cup of tea either, underpowered for what it is...i mean i would rather spend the extra money and get a TL or better yet an RL...i mean you might as well seeing how much the TSX costs anyways

My Dad has customers coming back saying how they are getting 22-24 in daily driving in their TSX, so far it's close/same coming from people with the CL 6spd. In my first week I probably won't be getting that great of mileage as I get a feel for the car

Great choice but the TSX handles better than the CL , but I would take the CL 6spd in a heartbeat over the TSX..

Already 2 people have come to the sales manager wanting to by the car, but since he's the one that did me the favor, it was denied.
Then, this morning my Dad noticed it was placed in the used car lot, he was quick to put it in the back lot with a sold sticker

Congrats, and welcome to the forum...

TSX and the CL are different beasts... Both have their pluses.

I'll agree, that I don't think the 06 TSXs looks as nice as the 05's.
