none... they would slow you down and make the ride harsh!

first of all.... nashua has NO IDEA what hes talking about.

hes making poor assumptions that are just that... poor.

second; this is a totally subjective question... THE BEST 19 in. wheel is whatever YOU think looks best or suits your needs best.

as for ride quality and affect on speed... unless your sticking with stock.... then the only thing inbetween is 18's... and there is NO NOTICEABLE difference in ride quality between 18's and 19's of the same width.

THe sidewall difference is 5MM.

But I'm speaking from experience as well.

and as for speed... the size of the wheel has very little to do with it.

you can get some 19's that are much lighter then our stock 17's.

one instance... robb's 19" Advans... his car is FASTER with them then stock and rides damn similar with stock wheels and 18's

it all comes down to your suspension.

if your suspension can absorb the additional strain your straight.

then in my case, i have a heavy 19" wheel... roughly 30lbs.

YET... my car hasnt lost much in the way of speed... sure a little off the line... but it is marginal.

i've raced many CL's/TL's with light wheels and the outcome is mixed to say the least.

please. if you have no idea or proof do not chime in with stupid comments.

anyway to better answer your question. you need to narrow things down...

what is your TOP priority:
looks, performance, durability?

if your looking for either of the latter and still want a 19" wheel your best bet is something made by forging. a high-end expensive wheel such as something JDM (Advan/Work) or something such as HRE/Fikse.

you also have to choose the finish... Silver, Gunmetal, Painted, Chrome?

narrow down the category of wheel your looking for and maybe we can better help you find some options.

I agree with you soopa.. Sorry for my stupid comment. I guess I need to go the bath room....

how about 19x7.5 centerline forged rims with +42 offset... they are excellent. Ultra light some 15 lbs only.... and not very expensive... and get some 235/35/19 Nitto tires...

http://centerlinewheels.com/w_catalog/rpm.html

I have an 18" summer tire/setup each at 47lbs, see my sig below.. but why not I may go myself with 19" Centerline rims...

Here is the tires size closest to stock:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
215/50-17 4.2in 12.7in 25.5in 80.0in 792 0.0%
235/45-17 4.2in 12.7in 25.3in 79.6in 796 -0.5%
235/40-18 3.7in 12.7in 25.4in 79.8in 794 -0.2%
235/35-19 3.2in 12.7in 25.5in 80.0in 792 0.0%

its all about what you want yo... if you're all about looks, search for 19s in the gallery. You'll find some nice stuff in there.

I could hardly tell the difference between the 17"s and the 19"s......except for the fact that my car handled 10X better with the 19"s!!!!

Don't get 19's. They all bend. They all ride harsh. They all slow you down. Here's a pic of mine:

BTW, they're muddy because after the tire blew out I had to pull over on the side of the road...and it was muddy.

Don't listen to this guy. He blew his tire out while trying to win 3rd place at a hoping contest on the westside.

aaron: comon now... your riding on a BILLET wheels. softest/heaviest type aluminum forming process in the world.

in 2 yrs on 19's ive bent ONE rim...

in 2 yrs on stock 17's ive bent THREE.

and i dont even have really good wheels.

youd be hard pressed to bend some nice forged 19s unless your doing something stupid.

and ive heard my roads comparable to those in guatamala. lol

I'm just messin with you guys. You'll have no problems with 19's. My wheels are aluminum, my tires are 215/35 series, and I hit road construction doing about 45. The street pavement was cut, and I essentially hit a 2.5" sharp concrete edge...that's enough to bend almost any rim with the size tires I choose to run. Get the 19's! They look perfect on our cars.

How do you come up with this number? My calculator says 12.7mm or 1/2”.
Not much, but every little bit of rubber helps soften the ride.

I know my ride got a bit harsher when I went from 17 to 18 so I would imagine there’s another drop in quality when going from 18 to 19.
It’s worth it to me for the increase in handling but don’t give the guy false info.

Go for the 19s! And those Rezak II's would look nice, but are pretty expensive.

I agree, my 19s still look small on my car. I think it has to do with the fact that they have a small lip so the spokes don't come all the way out to the edge of the wheel like the wheels on the stock 2001 Type S wheels do. What I'd really like is for SSR to make GT1s in 19", or at least some imitation 19" GT1s.

Maybe u guys could help me. I'm looking for something like the Rezak II's w/ that nice lip, but need the spokes to extend all the way to the lip. Anything come to mind?

I know that I'm beating a dead horse with this one but just to set things straight; 19" x 8.0" is the max that can fit our ride, correct? Now could 19" x 9" fit with alittle shaving of the front fender well? If not how bout 19" x 8.5".

With all that said what would be the offset, 52+?

Here is a good website for you to look at some 19's inch rims. www.superbuytires.com I prefer Lowenhart LD 1 19x8. They look good on CL-S but very expensive.

Possible with 19x8.5 with the right tires, but not with 19x9.

Rim size has nothing to do with looking like an SUV, you can have 19s, and still look like an Escalade.

To get rid of the spring look, you'll need to look at your suspension options... which are noted well in the tuners guide @ http://www.acura-cl.com/tunersguide/#stage1
