19in WHEEL RUBBING CRAZY!!! Help!

So i finally put on the 19s with a +45 offset, lowered with TEINS, and the dam thing rubs like crazy and LOUD as hell only on the drivers side rear. It happens when i am reversing off my driveway, or comming on it, and sometimes when cornering fast. but its only one side...any suggestions? SHOULD I CUT the fender? or have it ROLLED? any good places in So. CALI??

Im not even sure if its the fender or the inside plastic thing inside the wheel well thats rubbing, or even BOTH? Most likely is it just the fender? Also im not sure if the fender is cutting the tire.. They are very expensive so i am worried. pleease give ur suggestions ASAP!! i cant drive it yet till its fixed.

thx

u have 19 x 8 with 45 offset with 235 35 19 tires....

i m guessing 90% that even tho u roll or cut ur fender it still gonna rub like a bitch....

19x8.... U HAVE TO get 47+ offset.... and u probably have to use 225 30 19 tires and Raise ur Rear up about .5 inch.....

dude.. i even rub with 18 x 7.5 with 45 offet and 235 tires...

if u got some extra money...... get a Little fender flares... like custom IS300's fender flare and put it on..... it s not big... but big enough to fit ur rims =)

BTW: what part of LA r u from.. i wanna check out ur RIMS!!!!

The first thing to do is figure out "What is rubbing". If it's not the fender, rolling or cutting it won't help.. YMMV

If it only rubs on a specific side, then you might have a suspension related problem such as a worn out shock. I am not sure what setup you have for your springs and shocks. One time I was at Discount Tires, I encountered this guy with a rather funny problem. He was putting on these huge 20" rims on his old Caddy. When he tried to pull out, he was rubbing like mad by the rear sides. The manager came out and discovered that his rear shocks are all worn out, causing the tires to rub the inside of the wheel wells. Needless to say, he had to get new rear shocks to "jack" the car back up to accomodate those 20" rims. You need to inspect whether this is the case with your car.

I have 19X8 with a +45 and I never rub....how low are you. I'm on a Comptech drop..I'd bet that If I was any lower, I'd rub.

ya, its most likely your outer fenders that are rubbing. You just need to get the fenders rolled. Run your finger along the fender and if there is a bunch of rubber residue from the tire then you know for sure that is where you are rubbing. You can also take a look at your tires to look for rub marks. I was running 19x8's also but I was using a +51 offset w/no rubbing whatsoever.

go with 225 series rubber, and you shouldnt rub. I had 18 by 8 with a 38 offset and 225/40/18 tires and i rarely rubbed.

How low did you drop your car in the rear?? I basically have the same wheel/tire/Tein setup as you, but I only lower my 1.25" in the rear and I hardly rub after I rolled my fenders.

I know this probably solve your problem, but if you turn up the stiffness of your damper settings a few nutch, it should help some. It did for me.

I agree...determine what is rubbing first. For awhile I thought I was rubbing my fender, but actually I was scraping my tire well. BTW...very, very nice!!! I love the lip on those!
