15K Maintence...
15K Maintence...
So i have 17K on my CLS, brought it into Acura for an oil change...guy said that i'm overdue for the 15K checkup, it'll be $325 with a loaner. After reading whats done, it doesn't sound like its worth all that much. He tried feeding me some line that if something goes wrong and my records indicate that I haven't kept the car in proper service condition then it'll be harder for them to do warrenty work....is this true?
is the 15K service worth it?

i believe that it is not required that the dealer perform routine maintenence in order to honor warranty work. the guy was feeding you some shit to sell you an expensive service visit. look in your manual in the service schedule and iirc, the 15k service is really no more than an oil change, brake check and visual inspections.
IIRC the 15K service is just an oil change and tire rotation ?? I paid $151 for mine, and I thought 150 was outrageous. I've since decided to do my own (I have a certified honda tech who will hook me up for stuff I can't do).
From the Acura's owner link... doesn't anyone read their manuals anymore
