14.3 @99mph

Went to the track today I could not get the times I expected, My 60' sucked most were 2.4-2.6 Most of the other runs were 14.4 with 2.42 60' or higher. These times i think are not that great i was expecting 14.0=14.1, because before my header i ran a 14.61 usually mid 14.6's

One of my friends is a professional drive(not really but he holds some record times for supra's) and after about 8-10 runs he got a 14.301@99.16 mph with a 2.34 60'

My best was a14.471@ 98.31mph with 2.42

What are the rest of you guys with headers and intake running and what kind of tires??????????????

I thought there were a lot of 6-spds running 13.9's

WHAT ARE YOU GUYS SHIFTING AT RED LINE OR FUEL CUT-OFF????

yea this is on stock tires, 50 deg, with a 10" speaker box and i did not take anything out,

had a 1/8 of tank of gas

tire pressure was 30psi then dropped it in intervals of 2ps down to 18psi

heres part of your problem...

u have alot of weight in the back

spare, jack, speaker, take all that out

when u lanch your probably gettin crazy squat w/ those stock springs and weight in the back, i think that 2.34 60' is pretty damn good under your conditions, get some dr's or some sticky all seasons and prep the car better and your times wil get better

No way...

Not with just headers and the icebox. RobG made it into the 13s with a boatload of mods.

That time is very repsectable for a 6spd with those mods IMHO.

I'd feel very satisfied with those times.

i always try to shift at the rev limiter.

the yokohama parada spec2 225/40-18 i'm using now seem to hook up pretty well. i've run a best of 2.19 60' with them in my auto.

last time i was at the track my best run was 14.20 @ 99.12.

scrib, i think Rob had i/h/e with 16" tl wheels and DR's when he ran the 13.9.

DRs are roughly good for 2/10ths or so, correct?

Considering I ran a 14.2 on stocks last month, I'm hoping for 14.0 (or better :begging: ) with my DRs on 16s in the spring.

If you were closer, I'd let you borrow 'em.

scrib, rob has i/h/e and 16" w/ dr's

14.3 off a 2.34 60" is great

imagine that being a 2.20 60' that would put him at 14.10

i'm starting to wonder how the fuck i went 14.2 when modded 6 speeds arent breaking that, i wanna break my time sooo bad

i dont think the auto will benefit from dr's as much, but w/ te right temps you'll do 13.9 for sure
i'd bet money i can run 14.0 w/ just ditching these stockers for some nice street tires, put on my UR crank i've had for over a month...
i cant wait for slips from peeps that get the unichip

Those are really pretty good times with the 60' you are posting...My unprepped TL-S on 18's was pulling 2.25's, but then again, I had relatively new Nitto 555's...
Sounds like tires may be the problem, and certainly, the squat with stock springs doesn't help either...

the benefit would come from the smaller tire diameter and 16" wheel. but the dr's would help some.
