I just called up my local acura dealer and he quoted about 1200-1300 with labor and tax on the comptech headers. Is this a good price? should i buy the headers at autocarparts for 1100 and have them installed there so i can get the warranty?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

i have yet to shop headers for my tl-s, but it sounds like a good price. tax is about $100 and labor maybe $200 (4 hours at $50/hr), that makes the headers about $1000. now if it takes longer to install and/or they charge more per hour, you are getting an even better deal.

and you don't have to wait to get your fix!

I think including tax and install that is a good price. Better than my total was. I paid just around that for the headers alone.

Yeah I have to have it done at the ACURA dealer so I get my warranty still, or its voided. Also the manager said its warrantied for 12 months, 12,000 miles.

Im gonna wait till after the SEMA show is over and see if there are any headers that came out, better performance wise or cheaper or anything.

It's being reported that the new headers from warpspeed perofrmance will be priced between $700-$800. Availability is very soon.

I heard something about that, thus why Im waiting for after SEMA show to see if that does come true, since I would grap those up fast, they better be polished steel since I like that look as well as "better performance" then comptechs they say.

HaHa NiCe, how do you know so much info about this? Is this header unit made specifically for our car? or is it for the accord v6? I cant find anything on the upcoming site. shed some light on this?
