1,800 Degrees

Is the number of degrees I just spun the CLS

Coming down my road there is a ~90 degree left turn I have taken nearly 3-4 times a day for the last 12 years. Ive taken the turn in 6 cars Ive owned never with any drama. Today I was going to the store to get a pack of cigarettes. I usually go around the turn at about 40 mph being that it is a sweeping 90 that is not VERY tight. Well today was different.. except once I hit the apex of the turn .... no traction whatsoever.... the car turned into a left spin.. I turned into the spin as I lifted both knees up to get a better angle to kiss my ass goodbye. After a good full 5 360's my car landed about 12 feet in an empty field.... Thank god no one was oncoming or I would have a serious headache right about now... Careful folks..... After I got out to assess the damage I saw what happened.... a sheet of black ice about 10 sq. ft ....... could have been much worse.... The skids I left on the road were only matched by the ones left in my shorts..... Becareful!!! Tis the season for unsees road hazards in the form of ice...

Nice, you are a pimp. You got lucky, I have never took a 90 degree turn in the Cl at 40mph. I did not know it could handle it

Doesn't VSA just account for over and understeering? I didn't know VSA helps when you ride over ice

Its not PIMP ... its god damn good/bad luck... the 90 has a centerline radius of about 40-50 yards so its not a hairpin 90 ... a sweeping 90.. and again ive been driving the same damn road every day for 12 years..... I know the damn turn and the limits of the cls

Glad you're o.k. Just shows VSA and ice don't mix. Another good reason to give up smoking
