you should post this info in car talk. along with pics of your car, mods and your timeslips. people will want to know. you have some stuff that noone else has.

the quickest cl-s we have heard of is a turbo 6 speed that went 12.9@112.

Wow, either the lights were off or the dyno was reading low as that trap would require 450 WHP in a 5AT CL-S.

Just so other can benefit, who built the transaxle??

Also, who did the head work and what all was done?? It seems that the intake ports were pretty nice from the factory so there was little to be done there. I haven't seen the chamber but from what I heard it is pretty well done out of the box.

BTW, stainless values might be nice as I assume it means strong integrity. But I believe you meant valves.

Who valves and valve springs were used??

Who did the manifold work?? I did my own including the injector base and I can see it helping at higher flow rates.

As I mentioned, trapping 118 MPH would require significantly more power than what was dyno'd. Ramanan was making about the same power in his turbo CL-S 6-Speed and was 6 MPH slower. The 5AT would have to go to 4th to achieve that time which everyone knows is a dog. With those two aspects in mind the 5AT would need about 450 WHP to trap that speed.

450 WHP is not remotely possible with those mods, even the ones mentioned correctly. :P

So, either the time was misrepresented accidentally (or intentionally) or there is something else to this like a 250HP shot which would grenade the 5AT. Either way, there are too many holes.

But in the end I would love to be wrong as this would be great to see. I'm looking forward to seeing the response to the posed questions.

I have a lot of friends tht run at Fontana. I can have them meet you for verification. I have GP buddies running everything from
mid 14sNA to low 12s in the GTPs.

NOS cars tend to trap a lot higher than even turbo cars, but I still call BS. If you are for real, lemme know the next time you go to the track and you can meet my GTP buddies.

Who posts that they have Headers, most indicate which brand, at least thats what I have noticed.

hey noOb. you better check yourself before you wreck yourself.

i haven't talked shit once in this thread.

you are the one who came in here with your capslock on and everything misspelled in your signature, saying how you ran this amazing time. i think it's obvious that people in this forum want and deserve more information.

so give it to us or STFU.

Please...

Look at it seriously. A CL-S 5AT only making 350 WHP and trapping 118 MPH in a vehicle weighing over 3500 lbs is not possible. You trapping 101 is believable but there is a big difference in the numbers.

Unless his car continues making torque and can rev to 10k RPM it is physically impossible to do. Basic physics calculation can show that. Additionally, Ramanan made the same if not more WHP and ran 6 MPH slower in a car with better gearing and lighter. I know I am making more WHP right now and could not even come close to trapping that.

So obviously something is amiss.

You could then answer the provided questions to lend credibility. You have to realize that people posting false claims are not new. As such, people are rightfully skeptical until there is valid evidence.

There are holes in the claims made which could be filled with answers; not a crappy attitude. You don’t need a scan of a dyno plot or time slip to make a post answering questions. Your claims could be validated by some simple typing.

I know a thing or two about these vehicles and know very well what they are capable of. The pieces you have provided do not match the results. Maybe there are things being left out, the timing lights were off or the dyno was off. Unless something is off or unknown, with the provided, limited, information the indicated outcome is not possible.

And BTW, don't be certain you are the fastest CL out there even if the claims are valid. There are some that would surprise you. Considering there are currently (and more soon) CL's making more power, weigh less and have better gearing and don't need to refill a bottle you might want to re-think your statements.

It would require a bit more than head work to spin this engine to 10k revs. The tension forces on the rod would certainly be enough to shear it before then.

Also, the ECU would need to be re-programmed to allow for this. However, that is not currently available. Aftermarket DFI is not really a potential as he has a 5AT. It would take significant work to try and get the stock ECU to continue controlling the transaxle while an aftermarket DFI controls the engine.

I doubt someone with stainless steel values could get this going. :P Stainless valves might help some but his integrity has nothing to do with the engine. I wonder if his discronificator is hooked up properly.

i agree with scalbert 100%...

i love how people join this site and claim to run all these stupid times and can't back it up... i bet this kid is 16 years old by the way he sounds. I as well as scalbert, matt G and others have put to much work and time into our cars to listen to all this BS.
