what were your 60ft times? how heavy are your wheels? lose the system when racing.
100 lbs will cost you at least .1 second in the 1/4.

Spiroh i dont think i had an eq for sale but i was gonna sell someone my factory 6*9 cause they had blown theirs and i think i may have even talked about selling my stock rims when my new ones come in. and for the system not makeing much of a difference i had a little more down then just adding a sub box. i would guess that it added a 200 to 300 pounds. take a look at my pics.

Very Nice install. It looks like it would be hard to remove the whole setup.

well i tried to scan my time slip but it wasnt coming up very well so i just list everything: 1/4 mile 15.5117
reaction time 1.0768
speed 1/4 mile 91.8022
60 ft 2.4365
330 ft 6.6945
it was pretty humid out when i ran and this morning i was driving around and it is less humid and the car felt much quicker. i also checked the actuator and it did rotate and made a click noise so i think that is working.

spiroh did that random tech cat help any?

1. Heavy wheels or how heavy are they?
2. How heavy are you?
2. How much does all the stereo stuff weigh?
3. What TEMP AND Humidity were you running.
4. Were your "hooking-up" or were you on a "slippery" track?

(From you location, the altitude is less than 1200 ft (yes/no)?)

Notes:

1. The wheels will cost you if the 18" wheels are heavy. And the wheel weight IS not like "static" weight -- it will hurt you big time.

2. If you are a "big" guy, you could easily add another 100 lbs to the car's total ballast.

3. The stereo components will not help. If most people can feel the difference between a full tank and near empty (100 lbs), it would make a difference.

4. High temp and high humidity will make even the best cars run real slow!

5. FWD already is loosing traction, if the track is "slick", you could really be hurt.

Here is a link to the NHRA -- there are some pages that you can play with. You can increase temp and weight, or decrease temp, weight, etc. Or you can plug in ETs and MPH and get HP and weight, or put in HP and weight and get ETs and MPH.

You might be interested and surprised at the results that you get with different inputs to the various pages.

BTW -- there is no "exact" answer on the wheel weight (rotation inertia and static weight) and on additional static weight (ballast) you have in the car. The calc stuff is making a number of assumptions, but it is good for "ballpark" figures.

good luck...

Here is the link, check the other pages listed on the left side of the target link's page (You can put in about 3700 lbs, 200 HP for stock CLS with a driver. The barometric standard pressure is 30 for the corrections page.)

Depending on the dyno, etc...

230-245 (There seems to be a lot of variation, depending on the dyno).

Look for Mike's dyno, he has the AEM CAI and the Comptech headers, and seems to have a very good dyno (you could use that for reference, and or search on dynos)

Good luck!

The Random Cat is still being debated. I have to do another dyno to swee if its worth it or not. The place I went to did a shitty job on the dyno.

Yea sounds like an actuator problem to me.. even if you tossed all of your excess weight and lost a half second (0.5 secs) that would mean a 15.0 sec 1/4 mile .. what you should be running stock and not if you have headers, exhaust, cai, etc.

Weight is a killer in any type of racing. If you can't take you sound system out, then make sure at least you remove the spare tire, jack, floormats and any other crap you may have in there... and check that actuator.
