'06 Civic Si vs. '03 330ci

I have the Si, would I have a chance against a 2003 auto 330ci? I'm actually having a hard time finding specs on the 330i, weight, etc. All I know is that it has 225 hp. I should be lighter with 197 hp and six-speed. Would I just get smoked?

Smoked. But I'm sure upgrades would be easier.
2004-2005 BMW 330Ci auto- 6.1 0-60; 14.8 sec. 1/4 mile
CIVIC SI 7.2-second 0-60; 15.1-second 1/4-mile
Stats could be wrong, they vary site to site.

yea because a 330ci and CL-S' are good races and a SI wouldnt beat a CL-S.

True, I've seen the Si down to 6.5, the RSX-S is at 6.2 and I think the 6.1 for the 330 is probably for the 5-speed.

It seems that in all the races in this forum, even the auto CL-S' smoke the 330.

depends on your definition of "smoke". to me, "smoke" has the connotations of 4+ carlengths..which is hardly the case in a cl-s vs 330 scenario. i would say slight win for the cl-s, if not relatively even.

and the times posted here for the 330 has got to be for the MT one. cos AT does mid 6s (closer to AT CL). but you should go for it anyway if you have that race lined up. just for fun -unless you can't stand losing.

My buddy just picked up the 330, I'll definitely give it a shot and let you guys know the outcome. Do you think it will matter if I take him from a stop or roll considering he's rearwheel drive, but an auto?

He should hand you your ass and I thought the 330ci was 240hp, while the 32x's were all 225.

he knows he has a TL-S.

330ci ZHP MT might beat a stock CL-S auto from a dig on the quarter. CL-S with i/h will smoke it though

rezurex. in the little while i've been here, you were possibly the lone member which i hadn't seen change his avatar. i have to say you have moved onto a tantalizing one (tried to find a word as to not sound gay. i might have failed.).

The 330 has 225hp, the 325 has 184hp. The 5MT should do 0-60 in 6.0 - 6.1 secs. I bet the auto would be mid 6s.

My buddy with the 330 is here at my place right now and he said that he found 0-60 times for the 330ci auto - 6.7 secs.

Well fellas, tonight was the night. I had two guys in the Si and my buddy was by himself in the 330ci (auto). From a dig it was hard to tell. We were on a road that merged quickly into one lane, but we were dead even through first just playing around. We jumped on the freeway and he started out ahead of me. I was going about 70 following him about three cars back trying to find a gap and then we both hit it. Suprisingly, especially with the other two guys in my car, I gained on him and by a 110 we were dead even. Can't wait to give it a shot from a dig.

Si is probably faster than a 330i auto. I think the 6spd will own the Si though.
