04 WRX STi

What would we need to be able to run with 04 STi's?

nitrous and some good ass traction....but even then, he might walk away by a car length....it depends on the driver of the STI

I think with a SC/IC/ and exhaust it should be enough. Like Cocoa said it depends on the driver of the STi..I know by me, alot of the STi owners are 17-19 yr old spoiled kids..

Against a stock STi you could potentially win with just the S/C and HBP depending on how good a driver your opponent is. Regardless of the performance add ons, it's moot without a good launch so plan on better tires too.

in a quarter mile race with built internals and with a 150 shot with drag radials and a built transmission you can beat an STi. big bucks regardless of any method you take. SC + IC or turbo or nitrous. take your pick, you will need to change your tranny most ikely as well

It really depends on the race. If you're racing from a stop you better have at least a full 1/4 mile to play catch-up and a S/C w/ HBP. If you're going from a roll then it isn't impossible to hang with I/H/E...it's unlikely, but not impossible.

^ i agree. from a stop you need FI or a 75 shot to play catch up. from a roll just the typical bolt-ons. they dyno around 240whp stock so it's possible.

A 6-speed can run with out with i/h/e and some good tuning. This is from a rolling start, of course.

Those STi's and EVO's are quick off the line, but they sort of run out of air in 3rd - stock ones, that is!

in case you havent notice we autos have crappy trannies. although i;ve heard that people have problems with these so called reinforced trannies... seems that us auto guys dont have much to work with

from a roll a 50 shot should be more than enough with i/h/e that is. UR pulleys would help as well
