'04 TL springs/shocks on an '03 CLS?

One of the things they're advertising for the '04 TL is "minimal wheel arch-to-tire gaps", the same thing this board has complained about for a while on the CL.

I have no idea if it would be worthwhile, but could we consider using stock '04 TL springs and/or shocks rather than Comptech/Koni or other aftermarket brands? Would that somehow make it a more warranty-able solution? Or are the connection points for the hardware just incompatible?

bro, that would be gheeto and pointless, why would you wanta stock suspension over an aftermarket, esp since it would cost more for a Stock 04 Tl suspension than koni's and CTs?

It probably would cost more, I was mainly just curious if it could be done. It brings up the possibility of using slightly used parts off of the undamaged parts of totalled '04 TLs in a year or 2. Mostly just idle curiosity though.

it's probably not the suspension that makes the car look lower, it's probably the sheetmetal that extends lower into the wheelwell.
