Has anyone tried this or seen this done. I was wondering if the tip would cover up more of the cutout on the CL. They have a nice shape , but I don't know if they would look good on the CL.

 

I personally hate the exahust tips of the 04 tl. I dont think anyone has done this before either. Have u checked if it would line up correctly and bolt on?

 

they might not look that great on the cl, but i love the way it looks on my car.

 

Linner, no I have not. I was mainly just curious to see what it would look like. I guess i like the tips becasue they seem to sit flush with the bumper, whereas on my 03 they hang a little to low for my taste.

 

I know what u mean about it sitting low (try going to a muffler shop and bending the ahngers to make them sit higher), i just dont like the rectangular shape of the exhaust, it does go well with the new tl body style i just dont think it will look good on a cl. I believe that acura wanted the exahust to look flush with the body style

 

Someone needs to FS them on there to get an idea. Not sure they'd look good however b/c of the cut outs on the rear bumper.

 

i hate them too ... i wish they went oval or double-barrel dualies...

 

The '04 TL is growing on me, but I still dislike the trapezoidal exhaust tips.

I imagine they would look even worse on a CL, as our bumper cutouts are oval.

 

Thanks for the input. I went to my local dealership to look at the tips up close and they would not look very good on the CL. I guess I will just have to do another custom exhaust. Maybe a dual tip muffler on each side. I have always wanted to do it.
