Something new.... welcome to the world of SUV-look!

Maxima says: "Can I be an SUV?, I am jalous"

Damn, that is awful. Are they smoking crack over there. Notice how they are trying to replicate the sharp edges of the Z on the front bumper and the rear. Looks like crap.

Yep so far thats the best shot of the new Maxima's front end. It's also the worst front end on a Maxima to date.

Well, it's now the corporate look for Nissan and Infiniti. All we can do is deal with it and vote with our wallets.

I vote

With an aftermarket billet grill kit, that front-end will look good (but there's still no way to hide the ugly side profile of the car's rear). Nice find Beltfed!

Uh... that's pretty clunky looking. It sure makes the current Max look sleek by comparison.

And yeah.... Those better be cornering lights.

My cousin just got an 03 SE (replaced his 2000.) I've always liked the Maxima, and his new one has some nice features (i.e. heated steering wheel.) IMHO it's a very sharp ride, except for the taillights, but they were not that bad. But this new thing could kill the Maxima. I'll save final judgement until I see it in person. Because the G35's look much better in person. And maybe that thing on the grill can be removed, but so far...

unsure, I am SURE you would agree. IMO, the Maxima is a damn near icon. 4DSC. I wanted a Maxima so bad when I was younger. My father almost purchased a 95 when they first came out. It's been out since 1981. Now it's even more bloated and less sporty. Just think, the 95 Maxima weighed 3080 lbs!!! 190hp, 0-60 in 6.6. THe new ones weigh what 3300lbs or more, 255 hp (really 240) a bunch of owners are gonna sue them for false advertising and are 0-60 in 6.3 maybe.

Hell, this is what I am afraid will happen to the next GS

Don't say that. I am keeping my fingers crossed for the new GS.
