how well do you think this car will hold its value? how much should it be worth at 100k miles?

hmmm well 14K out the door is a lot better than 15K before taxes and everything. also 1 year bumper to bumper is really a big plus, because imo nothing is worse than having something break right after you buy. i was a little harsh earlier I think you got a great deal and don't worry about holding value unless you are selling it man! congradulations on the new acura

There's 17 2003's listed on autotrader within 75 miles of Hartford... I have to guess where in CT you are...

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search...=1196020963889
And that's just on auto trader...

If you look on craigslist, ebay, cars.com, etc etc... I'm sure you would find more...

I really should start a car locating service, since we always get people here whining about how they can't find cars, and I can find dozens within minutes

If I had a year to look, I could find hundreds...

There has been 2 03 CLS 6spd forsale within 10 miles of my house in the last year... and I'm not even looking that hard, I just stumble apon them.

It's an auto, so once it gets close to the 109K warranty limit, it won't be worth much...You're talking about a discontinued coupe with known transmission issues...

Aaron, you have to show pics of what you sold for 18K... That will probably illustrate how bad the resale value of a (stock) CL is.... You sold a show car for $18k...

Hmmmmm, 7 of the 17 are Type S, and almost all of them have more miles, for more money than what I paid AND they are NOT certified. You are awesome at finding cars, type in a search . . .sweet. your car finding service should be called www.lessformore.com

OK, first: I work and go to school between 60 and 70 hours a week so I do not physically have the time to run around looking at cars all over the state. Second: try finding a car on autotrader that doesnt have some type of blemish, may it be scrathes, dents or the fact that 90% of them have curbed rims. The one I just bought is not only certified, it is SPOTLESS, inside and out and I bought it at a dealership only 10 mins from my house which is also where i can have it serviced. SO . . . if you want to keep breaking balls, save it for someone else. Thanks

LOL. I have that exact car with 6speed tranny in it. I have been wanting to get a truck, due to the type of work im in to or getting into I should say..
If you have not bought that car you should pm me. I have 03 cls 6speed silver, looks exact like the one your looking at from the dealer ship minus the spoiler(which im not a fan of). I would let mine go for 15.5k with 20in foose rims on it. That would be far better buy.. It has 65k miles on it and have my orginal rims and tires for them.
It just sucks that our CL's has lost so much in value. When I drive my car, does not feel like a car thats worth 15k. Its I have been battling this decision of selling for sometime now, but never really pursued it.

yeah it is fairly far. We can meet half way? lol. I thought I would throw it out there, but honestly it would be far better buy, being my rims alone are 3k with nitto's wrapped in them. I almost traded my car in for chevy colorado (even trade), and the dealer also said they would give me 14k with my rims towards any trade in but I just cant justify acura for chevy. Plus my 6speed has the smoothest gear box Ive driven in manual transmission, so it gets hard to get rid of. I will probably keep it and get a truck later. It just hurts to see your car sitting in the garage making $155 insurance everymonth for car that you really dont drive.
Either way stay clear from auto's.
