2003TL-S

So last night I am coming up on a set of lights and in the left lane I see a brand new Audi 2.7T Quattro. As I pull up I see the license plate and it looked like some religous saying (1 Sam 3:16) obviously the person put in the :. So I am thinking no way I am getting a run out of this guy, well I get up next to the car and it ends up being about a 18 year old kid who had the DMX blastin. My finacee looks at me laughs and says "Here we go, light this kid up!" I was going to wait for him to go, let him have the whole shot. Light turns green and we both roll of the line to about 10-15 and then right when he nailed it, I nailed it too. All wheel drive at this point didn't help him. By 60 I had almost a car on him and as soon as I hit 3rd I pulled out by 1.5 cars by 75-80 and he shut it down. That damn 3rd gear is just too strong!!

Stock A6 2.7T 6 speed runs 5.8-6.2 0-60mph. Fastest Stock 1/4 mile I have seen was 14.4 at Englishtown by Jim W. Most 6 speed times are ~14.5-14.7. An A6 2.7T TIptronic is slower. 6.45-6.6 0-60mph and 14.9 to 15.1 1.4 mile. The first 60' kill the Tiptronic. After that it goes fairly well.
Car weighs 3700-3750 for the 6 speed and 3850 for the Tiptronic without driver. Judging from the numbers of the 03 CLS 6 speed it should be real close manual to manual. Automatic to automatic the CL-S has the advantage I believe.

Here is a link for S4 and A6 times, mostly S4's and most are chipped or have some level of tuning done.. The stock A6 times are not on this site.

Don't forget that for $595 the 2.7T can add a chip increasing HP to 310-320hp and 340-366lbs.
The fastest A6 6speed chip only mod is 13.5 and 13.6 one on the east coast and one at Carlsbad Drags.
A chip only Tiptronic A6 2.7T ran 14.0 at Carlsbad drags.

THe fastest A6 2.7T 6 speed recently ran 13.0 at Fontana. Idiot had the spare in and his toolbag(40-50lbs). MIght have inched into the 12's

I think I remember seeing acura (best)times of ~14.3-14.2 stock???? If those are the numbers then you should see about 1-2 car lengths difference in the 1/4 milesince the A6 stock runs a best of 14.3-14.4. Man real real close, that would be great fun to watch!!

But still, stock to stock the manuals will be pretty close, will depend who gets the jump. These cars arent designed for this stuff anyway right!!: )
