those interested please PM me. don't PM me that u r interested but only for the lowest possible price. i think i got that notion covered. handling payments have yet to be determined so just have the funds ready but sit on it for a bit.
to recap:

$315 for a PAIR of lamps, sockets and bulbs. this is the best price i could get. most shops don't even want to bother with me when i ask if they can do better than 315. a deadline date is also to be determined. i would like to get all orders in by monday and close this out. anyone think i should close this sooner? later?

interested members (as in i want one and WILL pay 315 for the abovementioned items) PM me along with your state of delivery.
Acuraboy - i have two questions. The 03 tails, do when using the turn signals are the lights now orange as opposed to the 01-02s? And after placing an order, how long will it take to ship? I am not trying to do another doorsill group buy thing here and wait for months for the products.

ThoroDredCLS,
when u turn the turn signal is orange/amber in the 03 tails. there are plenty of aftermarket bulbs that appear white and then turn amber or whatever color when energized. this way u don't get what is called the "fried egg" look. i am waiting to find delivery times.

For some reason I do not like modding turn signal lights and i kinda like the orange/amber look to say. Kinda makes the car look classier... IMO

If you get a shipment time and tell us how long for delivery you may have another buyer, if funds permit. Stuck between ..apexi Vtec controler or tail lens.

I am in and I'm going to PM you. But I do think the group buy should last a bit longer since I'm just reading this and if I transfer funds to my Paypal, it won't be there by Monday. Can we set a deadline for end of the week or so. I think it will take a little bit of time for everyone to be clear on the basics which is turn signal changes, installation, socket backorder, and delivery times. We need just a few days for acuraboy to write up the final final; please.

lemme know if anyone wants out. this is the order in which i received confirmations and thus the order in which they wil be shipped. please reference this thread so i can prepare for a worst case scenario though the retailer believes he can handle 20 orders. he's currently working on assembling these packages to confirm this.

Is this true? The 2002 CL-S doesn't need the sockets? I though the 2001, & 2002 cars needed them. Can someone confirm this?

ok..
just got off the phone with the dealer. he mentioned that yes they are on backorder (the sockets) but that it comes down to the fac tthat no one is gonna get them before he does and that no one is gonna sell them for as low a cost as he is. i will email him the order of responses to be fair since he does have some sockets in his warehouse.

also...
i recall hearing that the 02's did not need the socket. i reviewed this information with Mike and he confirmed that the socket and bulb fo rthe 02 versus the 03 do indeed have different part numbers.

HOW TO ORDER!!!

this groupbuy is being offered by Acura Carland.
ordering will be done via their website. since their site does not list this package, the following arrangements have been made.

- use this link to get to their site.

- scroll down to ILLISTRATION 030 - SCREW, TAP (4X12).

- order one of these and click "buy".

- view your shopping cart. don't worry about the costs listed.

NO ONE's CREDIT CARD WILL BE CHARGED BEFORE ANYTHING IS SHIPPED OUT!!!

- click on "checkout" and then "checkout w/o login"

- supply the requested billing and shipping information

- in the "VIN Number for Car/Special Instructions" enter this information verbatim:

not an order for tap screw. ordering the 03 tail lamp group buy package of two 2003 lamps with 2 corresponding bulbs and sockets for a total of $315 including shipping

according to the parts book YES 02's do need sockets. however, if u feel that u do not need them i doubt that eliminating that part of the package will result in any great reduction in final cost. the price is already prety slim. i wouldn't be surprised if eliminating the sockets only resulted in a reduction of a few bucks. but then again this is not what the groupbuy aimed for. wish u all happy ordering

he mentioned that if he doesn't have the sockets then he will wait for everything to come in before he ships anything out. mike mentioned that he'll do what's called a CBO (critical back order) on the sockets and that that usually results in a response time of a few weeks. if u wanted ur package to come in as it is available and not in one fell swoop i would email them (addy is on their website). this would pretty much double his shipping costs so he may pass that onto u. mike is really good about emails. normally responds well within a week. keep in mind that this is a dealership and not some aftermarket shop. if push comes to shove i'd give him a buzz (# is also on the website) but good luck finding him, he's there but he's a busy man.

hope this helped a lil...i know i didn't give u a direct answer. lemme know if u're not satisfied with this answer and i'll see what else i can find out w/o pissing him off

i just hope everything goes well. i can't make any claims as to this dealer's inegrity of anything else to that effect unfortunately. i know he got us a great prices on these things. he's an actual acura dealer so he's got a better chance than most in getting the illusive 03 socket. i ordered as well so i get screwed to guys. i wonder if my lights will get here before my sills!!!! that would be a pisser.

They are a direct swap. No need to remove the bumber. You do have to remove the little black clips holding the trunk carpet on the side, & back of the trunk(in the trunk). That will expose the rear lights. Unbolt them, plug in the new harness, plug into the new lights, put everything back, & your done. Should take about a 1/2 hour.

still backordered....fudge....i was the first one in and still waiting for mine. Mike mentioned that u can have the lamps and bulbs shipped now and the sockets later but that would add 5 bucks to the order. no one gets billed till something gets shipped though so no loss no foul
