'03 Fog Lamp "Covers"

In advance, I know this is a stupid question but I'm bored...

Don't know what those things are called, but they're the plugs that cover where the fog lights would be on the '03 CL.

They have a lame plastic screen imprint there and is entirely covered over. Would there be any benefit to sanding the plastic out so air could actually flow through it? What about if a CAI was installed in there?

Take a 1/8 inch drill bit and drill a hole in each of those diamond designs. You'll get the benefit of cold air rushing thru without the bugs and shit. There's nothing behind there to worry about.
