'03 CL Type S Driver's seat

Anyone else had problems with the '03 drivers seat hurting thier back? I know i'm getting old, but my '90 integra seat was great. This one kinda jams in my lower back.

The lumbar support works just fine, but it works above where it hurts. I'm thinking of fixes, some thoughts fairly drastic...

Help.

I'm pretty sure the seats are the same as mine in my 02, and I've never had any problems with them. I love them, the only time it's ever bothered me was on a long trip when I forgot to take my wallet out of my pocket.

No problems here. The seats on my '03 are the most comfortable I've ever sat in.

No problems with me either. I'm traded my 1991 Integra for the CL-S and find these seats a significant improvement (of course this is a different class of car too).

My lumbar support is fine, but I would prefer an infinitely adjustable bladder over the ratchety rigid adjustable thing Acura installs. Oh well...

If your lower back hurts I would suggest an arch support from Brookstones. It gives a little cushion right above your butt.

My ASS & back love the CL seats.

The 2003 seats feel the same as my 2001 did and I took some LONG trips in that car.
North to Canada
West to Pittsburgh
South to Florida

I had the same complaints when I first got my CL-S. Stupid me took it on a 3K mile road trip just after 600 miles. After that, the seats kinda "broke in" Also one weekend I spend a few hours messing with the seat controls to find a perfect position. I'm not really a small guy so it was hard to find that position. I have since taken 2 more 3K mile trips to NYC, & have been fine.

painful seats

I have am 01 CL and find the seats to be a bit of a disappointmet. They look good but even with my small to med frame they are too small. The bolsters are to large and take away from the seat area. I am slender to medium build. 5' 9" 154 lbs. The bottom is to smal and short; the back is to tight. The bottom needs to be 1.5" wider and 2" longer to give more but and thigh support without feeling squeezed. I would prefer the back to have less bolster and more width.
Acura needs to take a lesson on seat design from the BMW sport seats and audi.

Also my passenger would like the back of her seat heated and other cars manage multiple air bags while heating the whole seat so why can't acura.

Other than that I like the car. Engine, drive train, suspension. and amenities are very good.
