Did a search on "squeaks OR rattles" and here are the results:

Acura-CL.com -- Displaying Topics 1 to 25 of 510
Maxima.org -- Displaying Topics 1 to 25 of 174

And Maxima has alot more members on the forum, so you're right about Acura having more squeaks..

By the way.. Thanks

My brother has a 03TL-S and i got a 03 6spd CL-S and we both kicked an 6spd 03maxima's ass. CL-S won by 3 cars and TL-S won by 1-2 car lengths. ACURA wins
Was this the new 130hp Maxima?

These cars are equal performance cars just about, I give the slight, slight edge to the CL-S.

A friend of mine has 2k2 6spd max and ran a 14.7 bone stock....which is the same as i got my car bone stock. he now has intake and exhaust and hit a 14.4....which is the same thing i did with intake and exhaust. With the Max 6spd and the CLS 6spd its a drivers race
Similarly, I seriously considered getting a CL-S before I got my Maxima; the dealers around here were giving some major discounts on them. But in the end, I needed a four door.

I don't know where you get quality as an issue...
Know what's funny? I've got a TL-S with 42k miles and it has NO rattles or anything. I had the seat squeaking at about 10k miles as well as the sunroof area, and they replaced some bushing on the seat track and put some silicone around the rubber strip by the sunroof and the car is quiet as can be. It's even lowered, modded, etc..My friend's '03 loaded Altima sounds like a pack of tic-tacs in a runner's pocket...
Further, though some people like soopa have been screwed with, a lot of us LOVE our service department. I haven't seen too many posts like that on the Nissan boards.

Interestingly enough, and granted my car is modded, I can eat his Altima (manual) all day long by many car lengths to whatever speed. I can't say I've done that to a Maxima, as honestly, I've never run one. Ever. G35's, Z's, Altima's, GTP's, Mustangs--never a freakin' Maxima. I see them all the time as well. Just no one with any sport around here...
