03 CL-S for 15k, good deal?

Hi, I might be buying a CL this summer; an 03 type S with 6 speed because I won't get near those auto trannys I am looking for some convincing; why should I choose this car over an RSX-S, ITR or Accord 6-6?

Gaining over 30 whp from just a Comptech header sounds very nice.

more luxurious, more power, looks better (imo), hardly anyone knows about it (rare), people mistake it for a grandma car or something...that is, until they get owned by it.

Its fast and very few out there. I am one of the few luck ones that have an 03 CL-s 6 spd supercharged with 28189 miles. I enjoy pulling away and smoking those that under estimate the car.

"If I have to explain it to you, you never really would understand."

15K is about what they are going for with average mileage... check out Kbb.com, Nada.com, edmunds.com for price guide values.

It is looking that way. The Accord 6-6 is too much; I don't want to pay a couple thousand more for a car that is less luxurious and doesn't have LSD.

okay, if you need to ask us if you should pick this car over the cars you listed you shouldn't buy this car.

this car is rare, and you need to not like it. you gotta love it. its a awesome car. its speed and luxury and best of all you won't see more than 5 of them in one day (unless it is planned, like a meet).

if you're looking for just speed, this is not your car... well its a good price, you can bargain or something...

For 15K - I'd buy in a heartbeat just to have a spare CL to drive every other week.

this car is rare,
That is why I am asking for opinions from owners of the car. I am aware of the performance, options, economy etc. but I could test drive two dozen different cars and have no idea about the reliability of the car. I would imagine that the reason these cars retail slightly less than the RSX or Accord of the same year is because the auto tranny woes have tainted the reputation; basically the same reason why the 98-02 v6 Accords go for less than the 4 cylinders do.

I am a delivery driver part time for extra money, and even though I look for them I don't see a single one in a day more often that not

I like that it is a luxury/sports car; it is basically what I am looking for. I am just much more familiar with Integra/RSXs and Accords since I have owned them, and they get all the attention in magazines etc.

My CL is just like an Accord, but the powerplant is more potent, the interior is much nicer (heated seats too ) and I get a lot more looks in my CL than any accord would.

The HIDs are a plus, and the rarity is also a plus. Get the CL, you won't regret it.

sorry for the "harsh" words.

the CL is a lovely car that needs to be appreciated. buy the 03 cl-s 6mt and you're good. it does have very small "problems" such as SRS (passenger air bag) that is recalled, but it isn't a big problem. it is fixed if you bring it to the stealership. i gotta do that...

but its cool, the side mirrors tilt! awesome, heated seats!, seat memory, garage/gate opener... luxury, then think about 260hp SPORT...

awesome car, just got mine, just love it. it looks good and its rare

i love having things that other people dont have.. like a super clean ipod with no scratches and no [visible] case....

Likewise. I was gonna pick up a 03 TL, but I know someone who wants an 03 TL as well so I no longer want it anymore. I'm now in the market for an 03 CL 6Speed. I just gotta find one.
