Heres proof that a 6 spd with 22k miles is still holding its value compared to 03 automatics

the link doesnt work, but regardless, people can ASK whatever they want...

a car is only worth what you can convince someone to PAY for it...not what you ASK for it.

Carmax does not negotiate. It will sit there until it sells, or they will eat it.

I don't think that's proof at all... I've seen dealers selling used autos at rediculously high prices as well.. that means nothing. Go to kbb.com and do a comparison of an '03 auto and an '03 manual with the same configuration and they will end up being very close in price....

i am sorry it doesnt work...dunno why
But it was an anthracite with 22k miles 6 spd going for $26000
22K is alot of miles for a 03 and that looks like a good price.

I did a search for all 2003 3.2CL's with in 200 miles of me on http://www.autotrader.com and here's what I found.

7 cars (all dealers - mileage from 7400 to 27000):
Highest price: $27995
Lowest price: $25500
Average price: $27028

So the average ASKING price is 27K, but if you know how to negociate, you can always knock a grand or 2 off of that.

I've read that the CLS will depreciate about 4k the first year, 3K the second and a total of 15K over a 5 year period. Of course this was before they killed the CL.

My 2001 Auto is worth only $17.9k in "excellent" condition. Of course, that's with 58k miles. She's lost almost half her value.
